Example Deletion Request Email

Hello EmoCare Support,

I want to delete my EmoCare account and related data. My account email is: [your email]. Please process my deletion request.

Thank you.

What Data May Be Deleted

Depending on your account and app usage, deletion may include:

  • Account information

  • Profile information

  • Medication reminders

  • Appointment details

  • Tasks

  • Exercises

  • Mood check-ins

  • Journal notes

  • Health summaries

  • Doctor report-style notes

  • Caregiver or family support information

  • Emergency contact information

  • SOS or safety-support records

  • App settings connected to your account

Local Device Data

Some EmoCare information may be stored locally on your device. Local data may include reminders, notes, journal entries, mood entries, tasks, contacts, settings, or other app information saved on the device.

To remove local data from your device, you may:

  • Log out of the app

  • Clear app storage from your device settings

  • Uninstall the EmoCare app

Uninstalling the app may remove local data stored on that device, but it may not automatically delete account-related information processed through connected services.

Cloud or Account-Related Data

Some account-related information may be processed through authentication providers, app services, or other third-party services used by EmoCare.

When you request deletion, we will review the request and take reasonable steps to delete or disconnect account-related information where possible.

Data That May Be Retained

Some limited information may be retained when required for:

  • Legal obligations

  • Security and fraud prevention

  • Payment or app store records

  • Compliance purposes

  • Support history

  • Dispute resolution

  • Technical logs or abuse prevention

Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary for those purposes.

Verification

For safety and privacy, deletion requests may require verification. This helps confirm that the person requesting deletion is connected to the EmoCare account.

We may contact you through the email address provided to confirm the request.

Processing Time

We aim to review deletion requests as soon as possible. Processing time may depend on account verification, the type of data involved, and the services connected to the account.

After Deletion

After your account or related data is deleted, some EmoCare features may no longer work. Deleted data may not be recoverable.

If you reinstall the app later, you may need to create a new account or enter information again.
